DMCA Policy

How to send SA Baby a copyright infringement notice, and how to file a counter-notice.

Our position on copyright

SA Baby respects the intellectual property of others and expects the same respect for its own work. We respond promptly to properly made copyright notices.

Filing an infringement notice

If you own copyright in material that appears on sa.baby without permission, email dmca@sa.baby with:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. The exact URL of the material on our site, and enough detail for us to find it.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

What happens next

We acknowledge notices within two working days. Where a claim is properly made we remove or disable access to the material promptly and notify the person who posted it. Repeat infringers lose access to contribute to the site.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, send a counter-notice to the same address including your signature, identification of the removed material and its previous location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts. We may restore the material after the statutory waiting period unless the original complainant files a court action.

If we are the ones copied

Our articles, name database and calculator logic are original works. If you find them republished elsewhere, we would be grateful if you told us at dmca@sa.baby.

Fair use and quoting us

You may quote up to two short paragraphs with clear attribution and a working link to the original article. Republishing a full article, or the name database, requires written permission.
